Cycle to work scheme – A cycle-to-work scheme enables you to purchase a bicycle through a monthly ‘Salary Sacrifice’ scheme.
Season Ticket Loans – This is a loan for the cost of a season ticket for bus, train or tube. An interest free salary advance is repaid monthly be deduction from salary.
Eyecare vouchers – for all employees using a VDU for work purposes.
FreeHealth Shield Cash Plan – You can claim money back from visits to the dentist and optician to prescriptions and physio with your Health Shield plan. The plan also provides for free counselling and discounts on gym memberships, as well as deals on high street shopping. Everyone’s automatically given basic cover, but you can easily upgrade or add a family member.
Leave Arrangements
Enhanced Pay for Statutory Leave – London Youth has Family Friendly policies with pay – 13 weeks which is in excess of statutory payments for maternity, adoptions, paternity and shared parental leave.
Holiday entitlement – 31 days including 3 closure days that London Youth stipulate when they are to be taken plus bank holidays. All leave dates are pro-rated for part time staff.
Sabbatical leave – If you’re eligible, you may take up to three months sabbatical leave, of which three weeks are paid.
Enhanced Sick pay – London Youth pays an enhanced rate in addition to the statutory rates.
Special Leave – Eligible employees may take up to 10 days paid leave
Volunteer days – you may take up to 3 days to volunteer with a member organisation or up to 2 days to volunteer with another not-for-profit organisation.

Headspace App – London Youth provides the Headspace app for all employees. The app encompasses a number of in-app guided programmes to support the mental health and wellbeing.
Employee Assistance Programme – A 24/7 confidential and impartial service providing advice and support to employees and their families on a range of matters including: health, bereavement and stress counselling, legal matters and personal relationships.
Mental Health First Aiders – fully trained and qualified Mental Health First Aiders are available to support you in addition to the EAP confidential service referenced above.

Flexible working arrangements – London Youth aims to support you in balancing your work and personal life and is therefore committed to providing a range of appropriate working patterns where possible including hybrid working arrangements for some roles.

Pay Arrangements
Competitive Pay – London youth regularly benchmarks salaries to attract and retain best talent for majority of its roles. Pay is in line with current market rates. – see Real Living Wage section for other roles.
Meals & Refreshments – Meals for staff working at remote locations when guests are on site plus free tea, coffee and milk for all staff.
Pension Scheme – London Youth will make employer contributions of 4% of your annual salary into the pension scheme for all eligible employees. You will be required to make contributions to your pension account also. Where staff make an additional voluntary contribution, London Youth will increase its employer contribution from 4% to 5%. London Youth will offer a salary sacrifice to staff who wish to sacrifice part of their salary to their pension pot, thereby reducing the amount employees pay for Tax and National Insurance.
